A native of Brooklyn, New York, John Coppola is a multi-talented director, producer, teacher and actor. John began his career attending C.W. Post’s Department of Theater and Film, Yale Drama’s Purple Crayon and various courses and workshops with Circle In The Square. John has taught and delivered lectures at C.W. Post University, SUNY Old Westbury, Dartmouth College, The Riverside Shakespeare Company, The Skyboat Road Company, HBO and UCLA’s Extension Program. John has performed in Broadway shows and national tours as well as numerous television shows and independent films. John also starred in his award winning one-man show entitled The DeVivo Variation, which was produced and filmed by the prestigious HBO Workspace. As a director, John has helmed over 25 theatrical productions in New York, Los Angeles and abroad. He won Best Director in the New York Film and Video Festival for his film Possibility. John currently lives in Los Angeles, where he recently finished directing the TV pilot Bourbon Street, co-founded Studio C Artists, and is preparing to direct a slate of independent feature films and documentaries.
